Thursday and Saturday and my plan for this week

I made all my runs this week. Thursday I ran with my girlies once more (4 miles). We ran to my little girl's soccer class at the park. I was regreting it on the way home at 11:30 am . It was a warm day and just wanted to get them home. I think that was the last of our runs where we are out that late in the morning. Saturday I went latter in the day (8 miles). The weather was lovely. I love the cool breeze at night. However I did have a hard time getting those 8 miles done, part of it due to bloating and cramping. I think my body does not do good with a whole day's worth of food in my stomach, even thought I did eat 2 hrs before finally getting out. I also realized that I need new shoes!

On another note. The big day is coming up in three weeks! This week I'll be doing two short runs in one day in preparation for the race. I'm behind in my trainning schedule and should be doing 3 short runs in one day, but will try to catch up and make up somehow.

I'm excited and scared to be going into something like this. Someone told me that this type of race can be worse than running a full marathon, this coming from someone that has ran both a marathon and the Ragnar Wasatchback Relay. His reasoning was that a marathon you can get over with in 4 or so hours, but this relay you have to deal with 24 hrs straight, not to mention those hills. He kind of scared me. On top of that my husband will be gone a whole week the week prior to the race and I have girls camp to plan which will be happening the week after the race. June is going to be a busy month!


Here's my plan of action for this week:

Monday: 6 miles
Tuesday: 5 miles
Wednesday: 6 miles
Thursday: 4 miles
Friday: Rest
Saturday: 40 min hills morning, 40 min night
